BIM certification system came into being

As one of the pillar industries of China's national economy, the construction industry is undergoing a rapid development of informational transformation under the impetus of modern science and technology. As a key support for change, BIM has attracted great attention from the state and the industry. In recent years, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has successively issued a number of guiding documents such as “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Application of Building Information Models”; in February 2017, the “Opinions on Promoting the Sustainable and Healthy Development of the Construction Industry” issued by the General Office of the State Council clearly It is proposed to accelerate the integration of building information model technology in the whole process of planning, surveying, design, construction and operation and maintenance, and realize data sharing and information management of the whole life cycle of engineering construction projects.


With the support of national policies and industry, China's BIM technology has developed rapidly. In terms of construction, BIM technology serves many excellent projects such as Shanghai Center and China Zun, and has received extensive attention and praise at home and abroad. At the same time that BIM has achieved certain results, Sun Ying also pointed out that the current application of BIM in the industry is still in its infancy, and the level of results delivery, professional talent institutions and civil application environment are mixed. Some information even misleads industry awareness and hinders BIM development and overall industry improvement. Accordingly, the industry needs to form a consensus evaluation and certification mechanism to enhance versatility and complementarity, and form a basis for judging BIM quality testing and data reliability.


To this end, the China Engineering Construction Inspection and Testing Accreditation Alliance last year organized a team of 26 experts headed by Meng Jianmin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to carry out a lot of work, initially completed the formulation of China's BIM certification system structure and some implementation rules, and established China BIM. Promote production informationization and resource integration


China's BIM certification system will adhere to the principles of fairness, authority and credibility, integrate industry's superior resources, strengthen the integrity system, and provide employees with a corresponding level of competence and construction environment to ensure the BIM results of the service providers and ensure the project. The coordinated delivery of information throughout the life cycle promotes the transformation and upgrading of engineering construction information.


Feng Jun emphasized that improving the technical content, management level and quality benefits to meet the growing needs of the people for a better living is the focus of the transformation and upgrading of the real estate industry.
