Abstract: With the continuous improvement of people's quality of life and the increasing population, the demand for housing is increasing, which promotes the rapid development of the construction industry.  Steel structure construction is a new type of building based on the development needs of modern architecture. Because of its many advantages, it has been widely used and has broad development prospects. Therefore, it is very important to discuss the development trend of steel structure construction. The article starts from the development status of China's steel structure construction, and looks forward to the current situation and future development trend of steel structure construction in terms of the application scope, advantages and disadvantages, development measures and development trends of steel structure construction.

At present, due to many reasons, the development of China's steel structure is still subject to some restrictions, but with the development of social economy, the development trend of steel structure must be rising. With the wide application of steel structure construction, the defects in the development of China's steel structure construction have gradually exposed, which has brought serious adverse effects to the development of China's steel structure. Therefore, the article analyzes and discusses the development status of steel structure in China, the application scope of steel structure, the advantages and disadvantages of steel structure, the measures to promote the development of steel structure and the development trend of steel structure.


1. Development status of China's steel structure construction


The development of China's steel structure is later than that of developed countries, and the application of steel structure is lagging behind with developed countries. Because the construction cost of steel structure is slightly higher than that of concrete building, and the steel structure itself has certain defects, which limits the development and application of steel building construction to a certain extent, China's steel structure is mainly used for large high-rise buildings. And in public buildings, less used in small residential buildings.


With the rapid development of the economy of Fengshihui, the market demand for steel structure buildings is also increasing. 2. Steel structure construction application range


2.1 Large-span structure building

3. Advantages and disadvantages of steel structure construction


3.1 Advantages of steel structure construction


First, the earthquake resistance is good and the weight is light. The steel structure is mainly made of high-strength steel. Compared with concrete, the weight of the steel is lighter, but the load-bearing capacity is strong, and the tensile and shear properties are also high with concrete, plus good toughness. Plasticity makes the seismic performance of steel structures also good.


Second, the construction period is short and the construction is convenient. The steel structure is simple and fast to manufacture. It only needs to be cut and welded in strict accordance with the requirements of the architectural design drawings. Then it is transported to the construction site by the transport vehicle. 3.2 defects in steel building structure

Major universities in China should change their teaching concepts, attach importance to steel structure teaching, increase the length of steel structure teaching courses, introduce cutting-edge knowledge and technology into the content of teaching materials, and improve the understanding of steel structures by professionals to promote the development of steel structure in China.


4.3 Strengthening industry management


With the rapid development and wide application of steel structure construction, the steel structure market has been continuously expanded, and steel structure production and installation enterprises have emerged in large numbers. Currently, there are large-scale enterprises with strong strength in the steel structure market, and there are also many small private contractors. The workshop not only exacerbated the fierce competition in the market, but also made the steel structure industry level uneven. Therefore, the national government departments must pay attention to this situation and strengthen the management of the steel structure industry, so as to improve the overall level of the steel structure industry and ensure the healthy and orderly development of the industry.


5. Development trend of steel structure building
